Rofenac D is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that helps relieve pain and reduce inflammation. It contains Diclofenac Sodium, which works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, thereby reducing the production of prostaglandins, substances responsible for pain and swelling at the site of injury.

Rofenac D Indications for Use:

Rofenac D is used to treat the following conditions:

• Joint inflammations such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and acute gout.
• Back pain and muscle spasms.
• Sports injuries, sprains, and muscle strains.

Tendon inflammation and related pain conditions.

Muscle and joint pain.

Possible Side Effects:

• Headache and dizziness, especially at the beginning of use.
• Gastrointestinal issues such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, indigestion, stomach pain, and bloating.
• Loss of appetite.

Drug Interactions:

• Rofenac D may interact with certain medications, including:
• Other NSAIDs (e.g., ibuprofen), increasing the risk of stomach ulcers and bleeding.
• Anticoagulants (e.g., warfarin), which may raise the risk of bleeding
• Corticosteroids (e.g., prednisolone), which may heighten gastrointestinal side effects.

Warnings:

• Gastrointestinal issues: May cause ulcers or bleeding, especially in patients with colitis or stomach ulcers.
• Kidney and liver conditions: Use with caution in patients with renal or hepatic failure.
• Heart conditions and high blood pressure: May increase the risk of heart attacks or strokes.
• Bleeding disorders: May raise the risk of internal bleeding.
• Elderly patients: More susceptible to stomach issues and bleeding.
• Pregnancy and breastfeeding: Not recommended in the last trimester of pregnancy; consult a doctor during breastfeeding.
