Adol 125 mg suppositories contain paracetamol and are used to relieve mild to moderate pain and reduce fever in children. Paracetamol works by inhibiting the central COX-2 enzyme, preventing the formation of prostaglandins that cause pain and fever.
ADOL 125MG 10 SUPPOSITORIES Uses:
- Relief of mild to moderate pain such as toothaches, headaches, and earaches.
- Reduction of fever caused by colds or other infections.
- Alleviation of discomfort associated with sore throat and cold symptoms.
Important Information:
- Avoid overdose.
- Consult a doctor if symptoms persist for more than 48 hours.
- Not suitable for children with severe liver or kidney problems.
Side Effects:
- Rare cases of elevated liver enzymes.
- Liver toxicity in cases of overdose.
Drug Interactions:
- Carbamazepine, Phenobarbital, Phenytoin: May accelerate the metabolism of paracetamol.
- Rifampicin, Chloramphenicol: May increase the risk of side effects.
Storage:
- Store at a temperature below 25°C.
- Keep in the original packaging away from moisture and direct sunlight.
